IME FAQs

What types of funding requests do you support through this website?

Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. only accepts applications to support Certified Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs for healthcare professionals.

What criteria do you use to determine which activities are funded?

Through the lens of following the criteria previously provided, we objectively review every complete application. We fund select requests based on a number of criteria that include but are not limited to: demonstrated unmet educational needs of healthcare providers, educational method, efficient use of funds, availability of funds, and alignment with Daiichi Sankyo's therapeutic areas of focus.

What is the deadline to submit an application?

CME funding requests are accepted for review on an ongoing basis and can be submitted at any time. Requests must be received a minimum of 60 days before the first activity start date.

Who can I contact regarding exhibiting opportunities?

CME funding requests cannot include costs for promotional exhibit opportunities. If your event includes options for promotional exhibit opportunities or sponsorships, please separate the request and send that information to your local representative for consideration.

Does Daiichi Sankyo recommend speakers/faculty or review materials for scientific accuracy?

No, per the standards set forth by the ACCME®.

Does Daiichi Sankyo distribute invitations or enduring materials?

No, per our policies and procedures.

We received funding from Daiichi Sankyo for a live meeting and would now like to submit a funding request for enduring materials from the meeting. Can we receive additional funding for this purpose?

Requests for funding of enduring materials after the live event has taken place will not be approved. Requests for funding of enduring materials should be submitted at the same time as the live meeting. You may include both as part of the same request but please use separate budget proposals.

Once my application has been submitted, how long does it take you to review it?

Review times vary. However, the general guidance is anywhere up to 60 days. You can assist with minimizing the review timeline by providing complete and accurate documentation in a timely manner. You may only check the status of your funding request by contacting the Office of Grants and Education by email at OGE-CME@dsi.com.

What if the CME provider requires its own Letter of Agreement to be signed?

All Daiichi Sankyo CME funding requests must abide by the Daiichi Sankyo Letter of Agreement. If you have any questions about the agreement terms, please contact the Daiichi Sankyo Office of Grants and Education by email at OGE-CME@dsi.com.

Why was my application declined?

You may only discuss your funding request by contacting the Daiichi Sankyo Office of Grants and Education by email at OGE-CME@dsi.com. Do not contact your local representative.
